Kashmir is a beautiful Himalayan valley with breathtaking mountain scenery, clear lakes, lush vegetation and magnificent forests. The capital city Srinagar (1730m) is famous for its canals, houseboats and Mughal gardens. The Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh add to the glitter of this breathtaking location. The Srinagar-Leh and Manali-Leh highways are famed for cross-Himalayan expeditions. The pilgrimage centers like Vaishno Devi and Amaranth are of much importance to the Hindus. Here you can also enjoy the shikara ride. Gulmarg derives its root from "the meadow of flowers" and is indeed a picturesque location.
ITINERARY:
Day1 : Srinagar
On arrival in Srinagar our representative will welcome and assist you from the Airport / Railway station to the Deluxe Houseboat. Rest of the day free for individual activities.
Overnight in the Houseboat.
Day2 : Srinagar Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan, brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And the Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. Enroute visit the carpet-weaving factory. Afternoon have a Shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake visiting floating and vegetable gardens, etc. also witness the woodcarvings, etc. Overnight in the Houseboat.
Day3 : Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed for a full day trip to Gulmarg (approx 60 kms), the Meadow of Flowers which is 2730 mts. above the sea level. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek upto Khilangmarg. Also enjoy sledge riding on snow. Chair Lifts for mountain ride are also available. Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar
Overnight in the Houseboat.
Day4 : Srinagar
After breakfast check out and our representative will transfer you to the Airport / Railway station for your return journey.Tour Ends.
