ITINERARY:
Day1 : Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling
On arrival in Bagdogra / NJP, our representative will welcome and assist you from the Airport / Railway Station and will transfer you to Darjeeling (approx 95kms). Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater you a mix-experience of lively nature and charming Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama-Religion. Surrounded by tea gardens, this little town faces some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. On arrival, check in the hotel. Later take a walk around town to appreciate the new culture you are in. Overnight at the hotel.
Day2 : Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning proceed to the Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (Worlds 3rd highest peak). Also visit Ghoom Monastery and Batashia Loop War Memorial. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later proceed for the half day local sightseeing covering Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetian Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday) and also visit to the Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday). Evening is free for shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day3 : Darjeeling to Gangtok
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Gangtok (approx 105kms), en route visit Teesta. At an altitude of 5500ft Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim and is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. On arrival, check in the hotel. Evening is free for individual activities and leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day4 : Gangtok (Excursion Trip to Tsomgo Lake).
After breakfast, proceed for a half day trip to Tsomgo lake (approx 32 kms), which is 12400ft high. The lake is almost about 1Km long, is oval in shape and is 15 meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people. Return back to Gangtok. Evening is free for shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day5 : Gangtok – Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Bagdogra (approx 115 kms). On arrival, our representative will transfer you to the Airport / Railway Station for your return journey.Tour Ends.
