ITINERARY:
Day1 : NJP/Bagdogra - Kalimpong
On arrival in Bagdogra, our representative will welcome and assist you from the Airport / Railway station and will transfer you to Kalimpong (approx 75kms), another quiet hill resort in Eastern Himalaya. Kalimpong is famous for its Orchids & Nurseries and some of the some of the rarest cacti & Orchids can be seen. Oak, Maple and chestnut stretch up the ridge as far as the eye can reach. On arrival, check in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day2 : Kalimpong Sightseeing and Transfer to Gangtok
After breakfast, proceed for the local sightseeing in and around Kalimpong City, covering the Durpin Dhara, Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brong Monastery, and Flower & Orchid Nurseries & Kalimpong Market. Return to the hotel. Later check out and proceed to Gangtok (approx 80kms), which is at an altitude of 5500ft. Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim and is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. On arrival, check in the hotel. Evening is free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day3 : Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for the half day local sightseeing in and around this capital city of Sikkim, covering the Chortan, Stupa, Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (Closed on Sunday). Later also visit the Roomtek Monastery & Dharma Chakra Centre (approx 24Kms), the sect of the Kagyu order (approx 24Kms). Overnight at the hotel.
Day4 : Excursion Trip - Tsomgo Lake
After breakfast, proceed for a half day trip to Tsomgo lake (approx 32 kms), which is 12400ft high. The lake is almost about 1km long, is oval in shape and is 15 meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people. Return back to Gangtok. Evening is free for shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day5 : Gangtok - Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Darjeeling (approx 105kms), en route visit Teesta. On arrival, check in the hotel. Later take a walk around the town to appreciate the new culture you are in. Overnight at the hotel.
Day6 : Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning proceed to the Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (Worlds 3rd highest peak). Also visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batashia Loop War Memorial. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later proceed for the half day local sightseeing covering Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetian Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday) and also visit to the Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday). Evening is free for shopping & individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day7 : Darjeeling – Bagdogra/NJP
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Bagdogra/ NJP (approx 95 kms). On arrival, our representative will transfer you to the Airport / Railway station for your return journey.Tour Ends.
