KASHMIR MAGICAL TOUR

Package Description:
Kashmir is a beautiful Himalayan valley with breathtaking mountain scenery, clear lakes, lush vegetation and magnificent forests. The capital city Srinagar (1730m) is famous for its canals, houseboats and Mughal gardens. The Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh add to the glitter of this breathtaking location. The Srinagar-Leh and Manali-Leh highways are famed for cross-Himalayan expeditions. The pilgrimage centers like Vaishno Devi and Amaranth are of much importance to the Hindus. Here you can also enjoy the shikara ride. Gulmarg derives its root from "the meadow of flowers" and is indeed a picturesque location.

ITINERARY:
Day1 : Srinagar

On arrival in Srinagar, our representative will welcome and assist you from the Airport / Railway station to Deluxe houseboat. Afternoon enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting Chinar, floating Vegetable Gardens and also witness thwe Woodcarvings. Evening is free for individual activities. Overnight in the Deluxe houseboat.

Day2 : Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion trip to Sonamarg (approx 83 kms). Sonamarg lies in the Sindh Valley surrounded by mountains and meadows full of flowers. It is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayas. In the evening return to Srinagar. Overnight in the Deluxe houseboat.

Day3 : Srinagar - Gulmarg
After breakfast, check out and drive to Gulmarg (approx 60 kms), the Meadow of Flowers, i.e. 2730 mts. above sea level. It has delightful ski slopes and the highest golf course with 18 holes of the world. If weather permits, you can also have a breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is magnificent. You can also go on a short trek upto Khilangmarg (Optional), in about 3 hrs. Enjoy Gandola ride (Optional). You can also take an (optional) Sledge ride on the snow-covered slopes.Overnight at the hotel.

Day4 : Gulmarg - Pahalgam
After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam (approx 140 kms), the Valley of Shepherds via Srinagar. Drive through Saffron fields, Visit Awantipura ruins of an 1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman. Drive through the Pine forest and along Lidder River. On arrival, check in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day5 : Pahalgam
After breakfast, the day is kept free for individual activities. Optional: Visit to Chandanwari or Aru for a magnificient View of Lidder Valley. Overnight at the hotel.

Day6 : Pahalgam - Srinagar
After breakfast, proceed to Srinagar (approx 192 kms). On arrival, check in to the houseboat. Afternoon visit the Mughal Gardens : Nishat Bagh (Abode Of pleasure), built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, Shalimar Garden Bagh (Abode of Love) built by Jehangir for his wife Noor Jehan. These beautiful gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. Enroute, visit a carpet weaving factory and Shankracharya Temple. Overnight in the Deluxe houseboat.

Day7 : Srinagar
After breakfast, check out and our representative will transfer you to the Airport / Railway station for your return journey.Tour Ends
